Abject (2022)
Plot: A year after the tragic death of their only child, a grieving couple, Joe and Helena, travels to an isolated, high-end retreat in hopes of salvaging their disintegrating marriage. However, the serenity of the woods quickly dissolves into a nightmare. Helena begins to suffer from vivid, disturbing hallucinations and horrific dreams, while Joe sinks further into an aggressive, alcoholic daze. As their psychological states fracture, they realize they are being stalked by a presence in the house—or perhaps something within themselves. Violence eventually erupts, but they soon discover that death is only the beginning of their torment.
