Attack of the Eye Creatures (1967)
Plot: A flying saucer crashes in a rural part of the Central United States, unleashing bizarre, shambling aliens known as the "Eye Creatures"—grotesque extraterrestrials with large, bulbous eyes covering their bodies. A young couple, Stan and Susan, accidentally hit one of the creatures with their car while trying to elope through a local "lovers' lane." When they try to report the incident, the authorities, who are focused on covering up the UFO landing, dismiss their story. As the military bumbles its attempt to investigate the crash, the teenagers realize they are on their own and discover that the Eye Creatures have a surprising weakness: exposure to bright light causes them to explode. They then gather their friends to use their car headlights to mount a final defense against the alien invaders. (The movie is a low-budget, made-for-television color remake of the 1957 film Invasion of the Saucer Men.)
