Battles of Chief Pontiac
Year: 1952
Plot: Set in the pre-Revolutionary Great Lakes region of America (around 1763), the film depicts the conflict between Native Americans, led by Chief Pontiac (Lon Chaney Jr.), and the British. Colonial officer Lieutenant Kent McIntire (Lex Barker) attempts to broker a peace deal between Pontiac's Ottawa tribe and the British settlers. However, their efforts are undermined by the arrival of the ruthless and racist Colonel Von Weber, the commander of a Hessian mercenary unit. Von Weber is determined to annihilate the Native American tribes and breaks the truce by distributing smallpox-infected blankets to the Ottawa people. This act of treachery forces Chief Pontiac to retaliate, leading to all-out war and a horrific fate for the villainous colonel.
