Plot: After the death of his mother, a young man named Jacob takes a job repairing a remote, 100-year-old lighthouse on Lake Erie to clear his head and earn some money. The lighthouse is owned by Jim Murdoch, a surly man who is eager to sell the property following his own wife's passing. As Jacob works in isolation, he begins to experience vivid, intimate memories of playing at the lighthouse as a child with a girl named Claire. However, Jim reveals a chilling impossibility: Claire died in an accident at the lighthouse in 1999—the same year Jacob was born. Haunted by visions of a ghostly young girl and struggling to distinguish reality from fractured memory, Jacob must uncover the truth behind his "impossible" childhood and a shared supernatural secret before he loses his sanity.
