Bonanza: The Fear Merchants (1960)
Plot: The episode deals with the issue of racial prejudice in the Old West. The Cartwright family is forced to intervene when a manipulative mayoral candidate, seeking to win the election on a nativist platform, attempts to run all "foreigners" out of Virginia City. His campaign begins by falsely accusing a Chinese-American stable hand of murder. The Cartwrights must defend the wrongly accused man and stand up against the fear-mongering politician and the resulting mob mentality that he stirs up. The episode features Victor Sen Yung as the Cartwright's cook, Hop Sing, who is also targeted by the prejudice.
