Cotter Year: 1973 Plot: Cotter, a Sioux Indian working as a rodeo clown, is fired and threatened by the bull riders after his alcoholism causes him to be too slow to save a rider from a charging bull, resulting in the rider's death. With nowhere to go, he returns to his small hometown and reconnects with his old friend Roy and Roy's wife, Leah. However, the townspeople's long-standing prejudice against Cotter's heritage and his reputation as a hard drinker resurface.
