"Dawn of the Mummy" 1981 tells a story of a group of fashion models and photographers who travel to Egypt for a photo shoot, selecting an ancient, undisturbed tomb as their exotic backdrop. Unbeknownst to them, their presence inadvertently disturbs the long-resting mummy of a powerful ancient pharaoh, as well as his loyal followers, who were entombed alive with him. Awakened by the intrusion and desecration of their resting place, the reanimated mummies embark on a brutal and gory rampage, brutally slaughtering the trespassers and anyone else who crosses their path. The film descends into a horrific struggle for survival against the resurrected dead, blending ancient curses with modern slasher tropes.
