Ghost Patrol
Year: 1936
Plot: A scientist invents a "radium tube" capable of stopping internal combustion engines, which is then stolen and utilized as a "death ray." The nefarious outlaw Dawson and his gang kidnap the professor, forcing him to use the device to shoot down airmail planes carrying money. Federal Agent Tim Caverly (who is a Western star and flies a plane, making this an early "Science-Fiction Western") is sent to investigate the crashes. He goes undercover, posing as a notorious outlaw, to infiltrate Dawson's gang and foil the villain's scheme, racing against time to save the next plane carrying help.
