Judy & Punch 2019 is a dark comedy-drama that reimagines the classic Punch and Judy puppet show with a subversive, feminist twist. Set in the bizarre, landlocked town of Seaside, the story follows talented puppeteer Judy and her ambitious, alcoholic husband Punch. When Punch's drinking leads to a devastating tragedy involving their baby and a brutal assault on Judy, she is left for dead. However, Judy is rescued by a community of outcast "heretics" living in the forest. Upon her recovery, she plots an elaborate and vengeful retribution against Punch and the patriarchal, mob-mentality townspeople who enabled his cruelty and injustice.
