"Kandahar Break: Fortress Of War" 2009 is set in Afghanistan in 1999 and follows Richard Lee, a British mine clearance engineer working for the Taliban government. When he falls for their Afghan interpreter, he runs afoul of the local police chief and must flee across hostile terrain into Pakistan with the help of rebel guerrillas.
