"Kids in America" (2005) is a teen comedy inspired by real events, where a diverse group of high school students band together to peacefully rebel against their overbearing principal, Principal Weller, who stifles their freedom of expression. Led by the initially unassuming Holden Donovan, the students organize protests, distribute condoms to promote safe sex, and challenge the principal's strict policies as she campaigns for State School Superintendent. Their efforts are supported by a sympathetic teacher, Mr. Drucker, who encourages them to stand up for their rights, even at his own professional cost. The film follows their humorous and sometimes over-the-top attempts to make their voices heard and bring about change at Booker High.
