Law of the Jungle (1942)
Plot: In a British West African colony, American singer Nona Brooks is stranded at a local hotel after her passport goes missing. Unbeknownst to her, the hotel owner, Simmons, is in league with Nazi agents who have stolen her papers and plan to use her in their nefarious scheme to destabilize the region. When a British agent is murdered, Nona flees into the jungle, where she runs into American paleontologist Larry Mason and his comical assistant, Jefferson "Jeff" Jones. They give her shelter, but the enemy agents, who are now hunting for stolen British papers hidden in Nona's jacket, pursue them. After a series of jungle perils and encounters with seemingly hostile natives, the trio is taken hostage. Their rescue comes unexpectedly when the tribal chief reveals himself to be an educated, reasonable man who recognizes Mason and aids them in defeating the German spies.
