Like a Bat Outta Hell 2013
Plot: Four young documentary filmmakers, initially hired for a surfing documentary, are sent to the vast and desolate Australian outback, ending up in a remote location called "Nowhere Else" (which is also an alternate title for the film). There, they encounter a reclusive resident who warns them against wandering outside at night. After finding and stealing a book on cryptozoology, the filmmakers realize they might be dealing with a monstrous, human-sized cryptid bat. Despite the warnings, their desire to capture extraordinary footage leads them to venture into the wilderness. They soon find their vehicle immobilized by a mysterious flying object and are terrorized by the winged beast, forcing them into a desperate fight for survival against the creature in the barren desert.
