Mangue Negro (2008)

Plot: In a poor fishing community situated deep within the mangroves of Brazil, environmental pollution has triggered a gruesome ecological nightmare. The local villagers, who survive on the crabs they harvest from the mud, suddenly find themselves under attack by cannibalistic, flesh-eating zombies rising from the murky waters. The story focuses on Luis, a shy laborer, and Raquel, the woman he loves, as they attempt to fight their way out of the swamp. Using primitive tools and sheer desperation, they must battle a relentless tide of mud-caked undead in a visceral struggle for survival that turns the beautiful landscape into a blood-soaked graveyard.
