Melody for Three (1941)
Plot: The compassionate small-town physician, Dr. Paul Christian, takes a special interest in a young boy named Billy, who shows remarkable talent as a violin prodigy. Billy's mother, Mary Stanley, is a divorced music teacher struggling to raise her talented son. Dr. Christian believes that for the boy to fully realize his musical potential and ensure his happiness, he needs both of his parents in his life. The kind doctor thus sets out to act as a matchmaker, attempting to reunite Mary with her estranged ex-husband, Antoine Pirelle, who happens to be a celebrated orchestra conductor. The plot centers on Dr. Christian's efforts to bring the "melody for three" back together.
