"Mutant Chronicles" 2008 is set in the year 2707, where humanity is ravaged by endless wars between four massive corporations that control the Earth's dwindling resources. During a fierce battle in Eastern Europe, a forgotten ancient machine is accidentally unearthed, unleashing a horrific army of mutants that quickly overrun the planet, turning humans into bloodthirsty killing drones. With most of humanity fleeing to Mars, a desperate, last-ditch suicide mission is assembled. Led by Major Mitch Hunter and the spiritual Brother Samuel, a small team of soldiers descends deep into the Earth to destroy the machine and save the last vestiges of mankind from complete extinction.
