A Rough Draft 2018 (Russian: Черновик) focuses on Kirill, a talented video game designer in Moscow whose life takes an inexplicable turn when he is completely erased from the memory of everyone he knew and loved. He soon learns he has been chosen for a mysterious and important mission: to become a "customs officer" between parallel worlds. Kirill discovers he can open portals to dozens of alternative versions of Moscow, including a steampunk Imperial Russia, a post-apocalyptic tropical resort, a dystopian Gulag world, and a highly advanced utopia. As he delves deeper, Kirill learns that Earth is merely a "rough draft," a setting for social experiments secretly staged by the government of the utopian world to avoid their own mistakes. Upon realizing this, Kirill rebels against his supervisors, challenging the system that controls these parallel realities.
