Shortcut to Happiness 2003
Plot: Jabez Stone is a struggling, down-on-his-luck writer in Manhattan whose life takes a drastic turn when his close friend finds sudden success. Feeling desperate, Jabez jokingly wishes he would sell his soul for fame and fortune, and inadvertently causes a tragic accident. Shortly thereafter, a beautiful and alluring stranger appears, revealing herself to be the Devil. She offers Jabez a contract: unlimited success, money, and women in exchange for his soul. Jabez accepts, and his mediocre novels quickly become bestsellers, making him rich and famous. However, he soon realizes that his newfound success comes at a great cost, alienating his true friends and leaving him feeling empty. Regretting his deal, Jabez seeks help from the renowned publisher Daniel Webster, who takes on the challenging task of defending Jabez's soul in an otherworldly courtroom battle against the Devil herself.
