Spiders II: Breeding Ground
Year: 2001
Plot: A young, happy couple, Jason and Alexandra, lose their yacht during a fierce storm at sea. They are rescued by the commercial carrier ship of Captain Jim Bigelow. Jason immediately becomes suspicious of the ship's empty corridors, the supposedly broken radio, and the crew's strange behavior, especially the ship's doctor, Dr. Gerbac. While snooping, Jason discovers bodies stored on meat hooks and learns that the ship is actually a floating laboratory where Dr. Gerbac is conducting illegal genetic experiments. The mad scientist's goal is to splice human and spider DNA to create a disease-immune human race, using captured people as hosts for his giant, mutated spiders to lay their eggs. Jason must now convince his wife and fight for their survival before he is turned into the perfect breeding ground.
