The Electric House Year: 1922
Plot: At a college graduation, a botany student (played by Buster Keaton) accidentally receives a diploma in electrical engineering due to a mix-up. This case of mistaken identity leads to him being hired to wire and automate a wealthy man's new mansion with his own bizarre and elaborate gadgets. The real electrical engineering graduate, seeking revenge, secretly sabotages the electrical systems. The house's time-saving contraptions—including an automated library and an escalator staircase—go haywire, leading to a hilarious and chaotic malfunction that Buster must navigate.
