The Giant Spider Invasion Year: 1975
Plot: A meteor carrying a miniature black hole crashes onto a farm in rural Merrill, Wisconsin, opening a dimensional rift. The impact scatters geodes across the land, and these rocks soon begin to hatch, releasing numerous man-eating spiders and one colossal, house-sized spider (famously a Volkswagen Beetle chassis covered in fur). As the giant arachnids begin to terrorize the local residents—including a bickering, alcoholic farm couple and their sleazy relatives—two scientists, Dr. Jenny Langer and Dr. Vance, are called in by NASA to investigate the cosmic phenomenon and find a way to stop the monstrous invasion.
