Vigilantes of Boomtown
Year: 1947
Plot: Cowboy hero Red Ryder and his sidekick, Little Beaver, allow heavyweight boxing champion "Gentleman Jim" Corbett to use the ranch of Red's Aunt, The Duchess, as a training site for his upcoming fight in Carson City, Nevada. Complications arise when Molly McVey, the daughter of a U.S. Senator who despises boxing, hires thugs to kidnap Corbett to stop the match. The thugs mistakenly abduct Red Ryder instead. After escaping, Ryder must clear his name of the kidnapping charge and lead a counter-effort to foil an out-of-town gang led by McKean who are plotting to rob the town and steal the fight's million-dollar purse.
