Wall Street Cowboy
Year: 1939
Plot: When molybdenum, a valuable mineral used to toughen steel alloys, is discovered on his property, rancher Roy Rogers is targeted by a group of crooked Wall Street stock marketeers. Unable to pay his mortgage due to a crooked financier's scheme, Roy and his sidekicks ride east to the Big City to fight the financial chicanery and stop the greedy crooks from swindling him out of his ranch. The film blends the Western genre with Depression-era themes of corrupt banking and foreclosures.
