Yves Allégret was born on October 13, 1905 in Asnières-sur-Seine, Hauts-de-Seine, France. He was a director and writer, known for Aufenthalt vor Vera Cruz (1953), Der Staudamm (1955) and Die Schenke zum Vollmond (1948). He was married to Michèle Cordoue, Simone Signoret and Renée Naville. He died on January 31, 1987 in Jouars-Pontchartrain, Yvelines, France.
