Igor Luther was born on August 5, 1942 in Banská Bystrica, Slovenský stát [now Slovakia]. He was a cinematographer, known for Der Fangschuß (1976), Die Eroberung der Zitadelle (1977) and Die Blechtrommel (1979). He died on June 7, 2020 in Rijeka, Croatia.
