Alicia Rivera Frankl is President and Co-founder of DragonTree Media
and serves as VP of finance and production for Tayrona Films, Inc.
Tayrona Films is a company focused on financing, production and
distribution. She is a DGA Production Manager and an IA member of IATSE
as a Production Accountant. In fact, Ms. Frankl broke the glass ceiling
by being the first Latina to hold the position of Production Accountant
on a Studio movie and she was the first Latina to be the Head of TV
Financing for Paramount Studios.
Alicia has served as Line Producer, Executive in Charge of Production,
Production Accountant, Production Manager, Controller, Supervising
Producer and a Producer on Studio, Independent Features, TV Series,
Pilots, MOWs & Documentaries.
Experienced in negotiations with IATSE, DGA, SAG & WGA on behalf of the
productions, unions and studios alike. She has been a Production &
Financial Consultant to the 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros, Paramount,
Disney, HBO, Universal Studios, Sony, and RKO.
Alicia has been invited a recurring guest to Cuba teaching production
accounting and production classes in Old Havana. She has also prepared
production budgets and boards for films ranging from 5 million to 100
million dollars for locations in the United States and throughout the
world.
Ms. Frankl has worked with film icons: Ross Hunter, Steven Spielberg,
Joel Silver, Richard Donner, Walter Hill and many others. She serves as
the Co-Chair of the DGA Latino Committee.
