Born on August 4 in the city of Tijuana, B.C. Mexico, Antonio De Carlo
is one of the few multifaceted artists that been successful in
different areas as: singer, composer, actor, TV and radio host and also
lecturer and motivational speaker. In 1995 he became a member of the
bar of teachers of the "Colegio de Graduados en Alta Dirección" in the
city of Mexico. In fact, he is one of the few artists that in the world
have obtained a National Prize of Oratory, same that Antonio De Carlo
received of hands of the recognized lecturer Miguel Angel Cornejo y
Rosado.
Antonio De Carlo initiated his professional career on October 23 of
1988, in the international program "Siempre en Domingo" singing the
theme "En Mil Pedazos". Little later, in that same program, Mr. Raúl
Velasco recognized the success of Antonio De Carlo and was
congratulated that Antonio have been an artist that was launch by
"Siempre en Domingo".
In soap operas, Antonio started his career in "Mi Pequeña Soledad"
(1990) his godmother being the successful Verónica Castro, thus giving
a start to a consistent career as actor. Later he participated in other
successful soap operas, including: "Imperio de Cristal" (1994) where he
co-starred with Kate del Castillo, "Marisol" (1995) with Erika Buenfil
and Eduardo Santamarina, "Catalina y Sebastián" (1999) soap opera where
he played the controversial Father Jerónimo and "La Usurpadora" (1998)
soap opera of great international success, where Antonio gave life toone of the antagonistic characters. For his acting work in "La
Usurpadora", Antonio De Carlo received the Golden Palms, recognition
given by the National Circle of Journalists of Mexico.
As a Theater performer he has participated in several plays, including
"Sugar" co-starring with Laura Flores, Jorge Muñiz and Eduardo Palomo,
"La Dama de las Camelias" co-starring with Daniela Castro, Blanca
Sánchez and Guillermo Murray and "En Roma el Amor es Broma" co-starring
with well-known Hispanic stars; Edgar Vivar, Alejandro Suárez, Jorge
Arvizu `El Tata' and Amparito Arozamena. As Theater performer he has
received various recognitions, like "The Golden Palms" and a "Golden
Sun" recognitions given by the National Circle of Journalists of
Mexico.
In television and radio he has participated as host and co-host of
various successful programs, such as: "Cotorreando" (Telemundo, Miami);
"De Mañanita" (Telemundo, Miami); "Gerardo por la Mañana" (Radiovisa
Corp.) and "La Capirotada" (Radiovisa Corp.) among others.
On February 14, 2003, the major of Tijuana, B.C. Jesús González Reyes
honored Antonio De Carlo with the "Keys of the City" in recognition to
his brilliant artistic career and named him Honorary Ambassador of
Tijuana, B. C.
He recently released a new album as a singer and song writer "Después
del Silencio..." a CD of great musical quality, in which, surely
Antonio De Carlo will become one of the most successful Hispanic
