Atlas was a key figure in the movie trailer industry and an authority
on their history. He worked full time creating previews for MGM, one of
the first studios with a full-time trailer production staff. After
working for MGM and then Columbia, Atlas started his own production
company, Atlas Organization, in 1973, which made trailers for both
films and television.
