Bernhard Bamberger, born in Freistadt, Upper Austria. After attending a
school for radio-engineering and a short episode as technician for
synthesizers and electronic music instruments, he moved to Vienna in
1985 to study sound-engineering at the Vienna University for Music and
performing arts. After his graduation and another short episode as a
sound engineer at the Max-Reinhardt Institute in Vienna he returned to
the same university to study movie-directing and screen writing. His
movie career started in 1989. His main occupation is sound-design, but
he has also been working as a sound-mixer, director and writer. 1993 he
initiated the foundation of the Austrian sound-designers association
and since many years he gives lectures about sound-design on different
occasions.
