Michael Raso is a producer and editor who has worked professionally in film and digital media since 1988. After studying cinematography at New York University under Czech cinematographer Bedrich Batka, he began his career in broadcast television with Comcast Corporation. In 1994, he founded ei Independent Cinema, producing feature film content for television and home video.
In 2009, Michael founded the Film Photography Project and Film Photography Podcast, supporting photographers and filmmakers with film stocks for legacy formats while championing analog education through FPP’s Camera Donation Program. In 2016, he launched Film Media, a film restoration and preservation company specializing in scanning and color grading analog motion picture film for modern digital presentation.
