Hunter Bodine was born in New Hope, Pennsylvania. Raised on the East Coast, he attended boarding school and spent much of his youth in Philadelphia's Society Hill neighborhood. He is the son of Robert Bodine, a Quaker investment advisor, and Suzanne W. Bodine, a talented actress and devoted mother. Robert now resides in Newtown, PA, enjoying retirement while remaining active in the stock market. Suzanne passed away, leaving behind a lasting legacy of kindness, decency, and love. Hunter credits his mother as a steadfast mentor and friend who guided him through both show business and life. He dedicates his career to his parents, whose unwavering support shaped his journey.
Discovered early by Edie Robb Talent, Hunter began auditioning in Philadelphia and New York, appearing in over 150 national television commercials and voice-overs.
A firm believer in Stanislavski's philosophy that "it takes 15 years to be a true actor," Hunter devoted himself to mastering his craft. He studied with renowned teachers including Anthony Scipione, David LeGrant, Stuart Rogers, Joanne Linville, Candace Silvers, and Larry Moss, as well as training at RADA.
His early acting credits include Dragnet, Cold Case, The Shield, Grace Under Fire, Starship Troopers, and Last of the Dogmen, as well as a starring role in Hack with Marc Boone Jr.
After stepping away from acting to pursue the family business, Hunter earned his Series 65 license and worked in hedge fund investment advisory. He later returned to entertainment as a producer, creating the feature film Bob's New Suit and the documentary Sonny Boy with Soleil Moon Frye, along with numerous short films and music videos.
In recent years, Hunter has been a series regular in Baselines by Nate Parker (Mansa) and The Rich and the Ruthless(BET+). His film work includes American Skin (Nate Parker), Karen (Coke Daniels), Voodoo Macbeth, and From Embers starring Matthew Morrison.
Upcoming projects include a role in Will Ferrell's new Netflix golf comedy series, Marvel's limited series Wonder Man, the Season 4 finale of The Lincoln Lawyer, a guest appearance on Days of Our Lives.
Hunter resides in a loft in downtown Los Angeles and is the proud father of two sons, Rowan and Haven Bodine.
