Shelly graduated from Auburn University, where she was a scholarship athlete, and started her career at Universal Nickelodeon Studios before moving to Hollywood in 1996, where she began working on independent movies, as assistant director and coordinator. It was on the set of one of those early Indies where she met her husband, Alex. She continued her career in television as a personal assistant on some big shows until 2001, when she left to raise their son Jackson. Shelly co-produced two movies, 2001’s Pursuit of Happiness and 2012’’s Three Days of Hamlet, and appeared in some commercials. She could have been an actress for sure, and is known by many as, simply, "The Fabulous."
