Krister was born in Oslo, Norway on January 28th 1978, but grew up in
Tromsø in the North of Norway. During upper secondary school he took an
interest for filmmaking, as his good friend and classmate, Kevin
Tempel, was constantly talking about making some. Krister valiantly
tried to dissuade him as filmmaking is known to be an expensive
venture. Kevin didn't even own a camera and much less had any
experience in filmmaking, so Krister thought it wise to break a few
dreams. Even so, Kevin soon had a film project going with a few other
friends. Having done some press photography during the school years,
Krister soon changed his mind and joined the effort as a
cinematographer. After their first short film they founded their film
company, Team Tempel film DA, in 2000 - a small, independent and
non-profit venture.
Currently Krister does freelance multimedia work and directs music
videos.
