Michael Cronin is now forging a career as a children's author, his
first novel was entitled "Against the Day" (1998) and subsequently has
written two further books including "Through the Night" a sequel to his
1998 work. A noted performer on the stage he is probably best
remembered as the fiery P.E. teacher Geoff 'Bullet' Baxter (almost
always in his fetching tracksuit) from the long-running BBC children's
TV show Grange Hill (1978). He also appeared regularly on the TV screen throughout
the 70s and 80s most notably in Das verrückte Hotel - Fawlty Towers (1975), Entente Cordiale (1990) and The Mysterious Affair at Styles (1990).
Although originally from Bedfordshire, Cronin now lives in London with
his wife and two sons.
