Esmaeil Davarfar graduated from the Iranian Conservatory of Acting, a school that has introduced many actors to the world of theater and acting, such as Nosrat Karimi, Mostafa Oskouei, Ezatollah Entezami, Ali Nasirian, and many others. He also received a bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Tehran, and graduated from the California Theater School and the Elizabeth Holloway School.
He began his theatrical activities in 1956. Davarfar entered the cinema with the film "Mr. Naive" directed by Dariush Mehrjoui in 1960 and acted in films such as "Sadegh Kordeh" directed by Naser Taghvai and "Caretaker" directed by Khosrow Haritas. He is remembered for his role as "Doostali Khan" in the memorable series "Daei Jan Napoleon" directed by Naser Taghvai based on the novel by Iraj Pezezhzad, as well as series such as "Baz Madrassam Dir Shod" in the role of Akbar Abdi's father and "Doosti Agency".
