He was on the executive staff of CBS' Artist Bureau and MCA. Joining ASCAP in 1939, his chief musical collaborators included Sammy Stept, Mack David, Don George, and Walter Kent. His other popular-song compositions include "I Never Mention Your Name (Oh No)", "There's Honey on the Moon Tonight", "What Is Love?", "An Evening in Paris", "Just a Moon Ago", "Yesterday's Love", "My Songs", "Pretty Little Hindu", Nothing Ever Happens to Me", and "Serenade to Love".
