Quentin Dean was an American stage and screen actress. Born into a family of entertainers of the vaudeville and circus, Dean tried out acting in local shows in Massachusetts. In 1963 she moved to Hollywood and made her screen debut in Samuel Fuller´s "The Naked Kiss" (1964). During the late 60's she appeared in a handfull of feature films and television productions, probably best known for her part as 16-year-old temptress Delores Purdy in Norman Jewison's "In the Heat of the Night" (1967), for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress. In 2014 Steve Hart and The Cadillac Angels recorded "The Ballad of Quentin Dean", a tribute to a forgotten star.
