Author, comedian and producer who wrote the first three sound-on-film pictures. He was educated at Townsend Harris Hall and Columbia University, appeared in vaudeville and musical comedy, and organized a production department film company. He also wrote special material for the Dolly Sisters, and became a Dean of the Friars Club. His plays include "The Family Upstairs", "The Nebblepredders", and "Atlas and Eve".
