Teal was adopted by her mother's first husband, Angelo Druda at the age
of 8. Although her name, Sonata, was not legally changed until then,
everyone had been calling her "Teal" since a very young age. Her
mother, Pamela Hackeman, is also a make-up artist and has been teaching
make-up for several years now at Make-up Designory in Burbank. Teal has
been working with make-up since she began her career at 15 working in
cosmetics at a large dept. store in San Francisco. Since moving to Los
Angeles in 1998, she has worked with amazing photographers such as
David LaChappelle and Michel Comte, Music video director Joseph Kahn,
and a long list of celebrities and musicians.
