Peter Dvorsky is the most internationally famous Slovak star. He
performs concerts all over the world. He resigned from the Slovak
National Theatre in October 1996 (after a 24-year stint) in protest to
Slovak Culture Minister Ivan Hudec's firing of the director and
replacing him with a director more sympathetic to his political
agenda.
