Lucile Doan Ewing was a life-long resident of Memphis, Tennessee. In
1951 she founded the Memphis Children's Theatre, which allowed children
to write, produce, direct and act on stage. She continued to oversee
the troupe until her retirement in 1976. She was featured in several
films, various television commercials and stage plays during her
career.
