Frank was born to Barger L. & Edith Frank in Independence, Iowa. He
attended Westover High School in Fayetteville, Norh Carolina before
joining the military, where he served for 6 years with the Presidential
Honor Guard in Washington, DC under President Reagan. During his time
in the "Old Guard" he had the opportunity to observe Francis Ford Coppola on the
Tri-Star Picture film Der Steinerne Garten (1987)
