RKO Pathé Pictures newsreel cameraman, Mervyn Freeman covered both
World Wars, the 'Poncho Villa raids into Texas and the Sino-Japanese
war. He would later say though, his toughest assignment came in 1937,
covering the natural gas explosion that killed 295 students and
teachers at the New London High School in East Texas.
