Composer, conductor and educator. He organized opera workshops
throughout the USA and headed the opera department at the Cleveland
Institute of Music, the Cleveland Music School Settlement, and the Los
Angeles (California) Conservatory. He also conducted several opera
companies including the Akron (Ohio) Civic Opera Guild and the Los
Angeles American Opera Company.
