Ekaterina Gradova is a Soviet theater and film actress. Honored Artist of the Russian SFSR. She studied at the Moscow Institute of Foreign Languages and the Moscow Art Theater School, where she studied under Vasiliy Markov. Her first major audience recognition came in 1969, when, as a fourth-year student at the Moscow Art Theater School, she played the lead role in the play 'Talents and Admirers' at the Mayakovskiy Moscow Academic Theater. She then worked at the Moscow Academic Satire Theater, where she appeared in numerous performances.

The actress gained widespread recognition in 1973 after the release of the famous television film 17 Augenblicke des Frühlings (1973), in which she played the role of radio operator Kat. In 1979, another film was released in which she played a memorable role - the series Die schwarze Katze (1979) (Svetlana Volokushina).
