Anna Gross began her career with an 8 year stint with Dino De Laurentiis, where she worked in various capacities on 14 films, including Ein Mann sieht rot (1974), Die drei Tage des Condor (1975), The Shootist - Der letzte Scharfschütze (1976), King Kong (1976) and Ragtime. She then served as Vice President of Production for Sydney Pollack, working on Der elektrische Reiter (1979) and the development of Tootsie (1982) and Jenseits von Afrika (1985).

Gross spent much of the 1980s working in Germany with European uber producer, Bernd Eichinger. She oversaw production of Die unendliche Geschichte (1984), Der Name der Rose (1986) and Letzte Ausfahrt Brooklyn (1989). She then returned to established Constantin Film's Los Angeles operation.

In the early 1990s, Gross served as Vice President of Production for Italian producer/distributor Vittorio Cecchi Gori. She was the key executive on the Oscar winning Mediterraneo (1991), Giuseppe Tornatore's Der Mann, der die Sterne macht (1995) (best foreign language nominee), Der Postmann (1994) (five nominations). She handled the US sale and delivery of these films and was point person for Miramax on its distribution and Academy campaigns. She oversaw production for the Italian financier on Robert De Niro's directorial debut In den Straßen der Bronx (1993). Her last project there was the Oscar winning Das Leben ist schön (1997).

Anna then began her own niche business of overseeing Oscar campaigns for foreign films. She has handled 11 nominees, including Eichinger's personal productions, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex (2008) and Der Untergang (2004).

She is an alumnus of Columbia University, Graduate Film Division, and a founding board member of the non-profit, FilmAid International.

Gross is currently a director and the corporate Secretary of Hypomania Content, Inc.
