John was a professional culinary artist/chef and owned his own company called "Casper's Comforts". He attended the Art Institute of California / Culinary Studies and Management. At the time of his death, he was working on his patented and trademarked app "Honey Do". And a "International Horse Day".
John had a paralegal certificate as well. John had a deep love for animals of all kinds and was an advocate and rescuer of animals throughout his life. He rescued a dog from Angeles forest and named him Handsome Sam, who became a part of John and Tina's family. John also was a very skilled Horseman. He rode mostly western. He and his wife, Tina Kotrich took care of their horses, which were also the heart and essential part of their family. John love to act and loved being part of the set and the crew as well. John loved singing and had a wonderful voice.. He attended many sessions with Bobby Reeves and Bobby's band LeVeL. He used his voice in voice over work and loved making cartoon characters alive! John was also a black belt in martial arts. He enjoyed motorcycles and had Harley Davidsons. John had a giving and loving personality, filled with humor and warmth, and silliness and he was tremendously outgoing. He was jovial, playful, kind. He loved to cook for friends and family, traveling - one of his favorite places to go was Santa Ynez. He had a tremendous style and grace. John was a man of great strength, compassion and honor. He was a great friend and a beautiful soul and person.
