Ryan Scott Jones attended college at the University of Kansas, receiving his BA in Film Studies.
After graduation, he co-founded the company
'SenoReality Pictures', with
collaborator Patrick Rea. In 2004,
he and Rea teamed up with Stephen Deaver
and Bobby McGee to begin
production on their first feature length film,
The Empty Acre (2007). He would then go on to work on Nailbiter (2013) in 2013.
