Sikandar Raza

Sikandar Raza
  • Date of birth: 1986
  • Profession: Archive_footage
Born in Pakistan, Sikandar Raza did not make his way to the top level of cricket in a typical fashion. Originally, the talented batsman held hopes of becoming a fighter pilot, and had applied to join the air force before a failed eye test ended his dream.

Raza then attended Glasgow Caledonian College, where he began playing semi-professional cricket, before moving to Zimbabwe to join his family who had emigrated there several years earlier.

He made his first-class debut in 2007 and once qualified to play for his adopted country, Raza played his first one-day international for Zimbabwe against Bangladesh in May 2013.
