Jawad Asaria is a director, writer, producer, and editor that currently lives in France but grew up in London, United Kingdom, and Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Jawad Asaria was born into a family of Indian traders settled in Africa, some of whom later migrated to Europe at the turn of the 20th century. Jawad Asaria's father was a refugee as a child and his mother's family remained between Madagascar and France. This international framework provided the basis for the perspectives cultivated through his art. Throughout his teenage years, Jawad created several films before embarking on his first feature film on a zero budget in London during the second semester of his senior year, requesting time off from school to complete the project. Jawad Asaria then took up Economics in Sciences Po Paris as well as Economics in Columbia University. Jawad has also had experience writing music, acting in theatre, and with poetry, currently creating a compilation to publish. Jawad is currently (as of 2023) in the pre-production of his second feature 'Worm Food' and the publication process of his first poem anthology 'You'll Never Be Too Pretty, Chaos'.
